It is also an ideal location for individual, couples, lgbtq community or small families to spend a few days away from the hectic pace of our modern lives. The glamping island can accommodate up to 10-20 people. We are located in Northern Ontario, just beside the Témiscamingue Quebec border and half a days drive from Southern Ontario.
All you need to bring are your essentials (see our ‘plan your glamping trip‘ section) and your food & beverages. Everything else is already there waiting for you on the island for a memorable glamping experience.
Types of Glamping Packages and Rates
Glamping for Individuals, Couples, Friends, Small Families, LGBT+ Communities
The glamping island is aimed at individuals, couples, friends, small families, LGBT+ communities, where people can rent an individual tent. We have 4 prospector tents and a tiny home available so although you are not alone on the island, the number of people is still very small and could vary from a few people to a maximum of 15-20 people on the entire island.
Renting Farr Island For Your Group/Family or For A Special Purpose
The island could be rented out for your group or family or for a special purpose such as a wellness retreat, an artistic gathering, a corporate retreat, a school educational project … Please contact Jocelyn to discuss your situation and enable us to prepare a formal quote. How Long To Stay During Your Glamping Holiday
The minimum stay is 2 days however we strongly suggest that you reserve for a 3 day stay.
With a 3 day stay, you will be able to fully appreciate what glamping is all about, you will be able to truly enjoy the small things, you will be able to let go of the daily routine … People that have stayed for 2 days say they should have stayed the extra day!
Arrival time – we usually ask people to be at the marina for 3pm. This usually leaves enough time to settle down before cooking a great 1st dinner and enjoying a nice evening.
Departure time – we usually ask people to be ready for loading at 10am. This usually leaves enough time to gather all the belongings and for breakfast.
If you want to add a few days to your trip in the Temiskaming region, we encourage you to visit the lake Temiskaming tour web site to find what else you could do in our beautiful region, or even activities to add while travelling to and from our area. You could combine a few days on the island and a few days in our historical vacation rental homes.
Rates for Individual Tents/A-cabins/sites
Find below our rates to rent a site for individuals, couples, small families or friends that are looking to getaway for a few days to getaway from the daily hectic life and be able to truly connect with nature. We will have a maximum of 4 tents/sites available so although you are not alone on the island, the number of people is still very small and could vary from a few people to a maximum of possible 15 on the entire island. If you take a look at our calendar and reservation page , you will see the available dates and also be able to reserve directly.
Rates between mid-June until mid-September (minimum stay is 2-nights)
2 day rate $ 250/site/day + hst
3 day rate $ 235/site/day + hst
4 day rate $ 215/site/day + hst
5+ day rate $ 200/site/day + hst
The rate is based on a per tent/A-cabin/site cost and each site has a queen size bed. We could add up to 2 cots for children (at no extra cost) if required.
If an extra cot is required in the tent for an adult, the extra cost would be $50/day.
Please note that a 20% deposit will be required when you complete your reservation.

Our rates include:

- A pontoon ride to bring you to and back from the island
- A sleeping site (we have available 3 prospector tents, 1 A-cabin and 1 tiny home). Each site has a queen/king size bed (depending on the site) and we could add up to 2 cots in each tent for children or additional adults. All linen is provided.
- Each site has their own private deck with chairs, hammock, fire pit and access to water just in front of their site
- Each site has a bathroom (compostable toilet and small sink) adjacent to the site
- Access to all the common facilities on the island including kitchen, common eating area, sauna, beach, shower, yoga platform, reading platform, children playground …
- Access to the amenities including games, canoe, kayaks, paddle-board, firewood, camping chairs, hammock ….

Please take note that we require our guests to sign a Risk Acknowledgement, Waiver & Release of Liability form before heading to the island. Although the island and the installations are generally safe, the natural surroundings represent higher risk situation for individuals (i.e. tripping, falling ….), people need to agree to accept and assume the risks associated with glamping.
Rent the Entire Island for your Group or for a Special Purpose
